Rolison Reaffirms Government’s Dedication

POUGHKEEPSIE – Recently, in recognition of the first day of school, Mayor Rob Rolison joined Superintendent of the Poughkeepsie City School District Dr. Nicole Williams, School Board President Ralph Coates, Assemblyman Frank Skartados, as well as other school district staff in visiting Poughkeepsie Middle School, Smith School Early Learning Center, and all of the elementary schools in the City of Poughkeepsie.

“I want to reaffirm my commitment and continued to support for the Poughkeepsie City School district, not only as the Mayor but as a member of this community,” stated Rolison.
“These students are the future of our city. It is essential that I, as the Mayor, along with all other parts of city government, help produce and support an undivided commitment to the success and education of these students.”

Rolison stated to many of the staff and students that since becoming Mayor in January of this year, some of his most rewarding and encouraging interactions have been with the students of the Poughkeepsie City School District.
Rolison would also like to remind motorists to be extra careful and alert of students on our streets, now that school is back in session.
