New Branch for Wallkill Valley Savings & Loan

MAYBROOK – Wallkill Valley Federal Savings & Loan has spent over 100 years serving the local community.  With branches located in Wallkill, Milton, Highland Falls and their newest branch location in Maybrook, NY.  It’s been well over a year in the making but with beautiful new signage in place, the Maybrook branch of Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan is finally ready to celebrate their place in the community with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan team members and friends gathered at the branch on Homestead Avenue to cut the ribbon and celebrate the growth of WVFSL. Bank president, Mike Horodyski is looking forward to the future of banking in Maybrook. When speaking about the branch he shared “We are excited to be a part of the Maybrook Community and the attendance at the ribbon cutting ceremony today attests to the fact that Maybrook was the right place for Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan.”

The event was supported by several notable people from the community, fellow members of the Orange County Chamber of Commerce, representatives from media outlets including HVNN.  In attendance were Orange County Executive Steven M. Neuhaus, Chairman of the Orange County Legislature L. Stephen Brescia, County Clerk Anne Rabbitt, Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler and Maybrook Mayor, Dennis K. Leahy.  As well as the Maybrook Village Trustees: Robert Pritchard, Noreen Reynolds, James R. Barnett and the Maybrook Fire Chief, Charles Woznick.  Wallkill Valley Federal Savings and Loan Maybrook branch manager Denise Mathelier was pleased with the event sharing “We are very happy to celebrate the BDD designation by the New York State Department of Financial Services.  We are pleased with the support from state and local officials, as well as the folks from the Village of Maybrook and our customers.  We look forward to a continued successful partnership with the Village of Maybrook.”
