UN Album Premieres on Billboard Top Ten

NEW YORK – On September 21 The United Nations, UNESCO Album “ Action Moves people United was Released. The Week of September 27th The Album premiered on The Bill Board Top  Ten Album  Compilation Chart at Number 8.

Among the many featured artist are actor/comedian Dan Aykroid, Steve Walsh of Kansas, Ian Andersen and Martin Barre of Jethro Tull, Janis Ian, Sister Sledge and Hudson Valley residents Prof. Ed McCarthy and Renee’ Ruwe who’s composition “A Dream of Peace” is also featured on the Album.

Ruwe’s Grandmother Orlyn Ruwe’s poem “Peace Is” is also featured. Orlyn at 96 is the oldest artist on the project. The oldest listed people to ever make the Billboard Charts are Fred Stobaugh, also 96, when he charted and Christopher Lee, age 91, and Tony Bennett age 85.

The Project/Album was produced by  Krista Wallhagen, Kevin Mackie and Rupam Sarhma.
A pre-release kick off concert was held in July at The Washington Monument in Washington, D.C.
