NEWBURGH – On Friday, February 24, the Newburgh Free Academy Black History Club honored trailblazers in the community who tirelessly pave the way for student enlightenment and success. In addition, a talent showcase was held throughout the event in honor of Black History Month. Honorees include: (Community Leaders) Joseph Alvarez, William Kaplan and Anthony Sculley and (Educational Leaders) Amanda Clifford, Philip Howard, Tara Jones, Carol Mineo, Dr. Roberto Padilla, and Raul Rodriguez.
