Each year we must raise every dollar needed to continue our programs to help children beat the odds and achieve life success. It’s easy to get involved. Simply visit www.mentorachild.org/bfksregister and conveniently raise funds online, spreading the word through social media. You can form a team, be a business sponsor or if you can’t be there, say yes to committing to helping us raise funds as a virtual bowler or make a donation to support us making another match. So recruit a team made up of your coworkers, family or friends. We are challenging everyone – community members, businesses, mentors and mentees, friends, coworkers, families, schools, church groups, service clubs, civic groups, community leaders, and those who may not have time to mentor – to ‘Start Something BIG’ and help us change the life of a child through caring adult support.    Then join us to party and enjoy food, music, prizes, and 2 games of bowlingin those rented shoes.

“When you support Big Brothers Big Sisters you make an investment right in your community. As grants shrink, we must continue to turn to the community to help raise the funds to assure our mentoring program continuesits39-year history of mentoring and supporting the needs of children,” said Sharon Williams, Executive Director. Partnering with Big Brothers Big Sisters through Bowl for Kids’ Sake makes a positive, long lasting impact on children in our community. Our mentoring works. It helps broaden the children’s perspective and teaches them how to make good life choices. It’ starts them on the path to fulfilling his or her potential and succeeding in school and life. It’s not about how you bowl, but how you care to make a difference.
