Judge Christi Acker is the Standout Candidate

Dear Editor:

Judge Christi Acker is the standout candidate for Supreme Court Justice.  She offers a balanced blend of judicial experience, legal knowledge, and an even-handed judicial temperament with an unwavering commitment to fairness and justice.  Party affiliation is not and should not be a part of the equation, since enrollment in a political party provides no guidance as to a candidate’s qualifications for judicial office.  I myself have never been strongly affiliated with any political party or election, yet feel strongly enough about Judge Acker’s qualifications that I am compelled to write this letter.

I have appeared numerous times in front of Judge Acker and have always been impressed by her professionalism.  Her thoughtful method of handling difficult matters is a unique blend of not only authority and confidence, but care and consideration to the litigants and their attorneys that appear in front of her.  It is her ability to strike this perfect balance in her decisions and conduct on the bench that, to me, has always made her a stand-out jurist in the Hudson Valley.

Voters should do their own homework before stepping into the voting booth.  Do not rely on the number or size of road signs, “coat tailing” or pairing candidates by party affiliation. Judge Acker is the only Supreme Court candidate rated “High Qualified” by the Independent Judicial Election Qualification Commission and who has 25 years of relevant Supreme Court experience.

On November 7th, I urge a vote for Judge Christi Acker because she is the best candidate and will bring honor and integrity to this important judicial office.
