LUJÁN Earns LDCOC Endorsement

NEWBURGH – Candidate for County Legislature Kevindaryán Luján (D/WFP) has been endorsed by the Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County (LDCOC). “I am honored to have this great endorsement, especially in a district with a significant Latino population,” said Luján. The Latino Democratic Committee of Orange County is supporting a number of Latino candidates across Orange County.

“Kevindaryán’s work ethic on the campaign is an inspiration, and we endorsed him because he will bring that same ethic to Goshen and representing Newburgh and pushing forward legislation for everyone,” said Vanessa Tirado, “Latinos make up a significant portion of the 4th Legislative district, but has the lowest voter turnout; we want to change that and feel that Kevindaryán can; also, this election cycle will be historic as Kevindaryán will be one of the first Latinos to win a seat on the County Legislature,” she concluded.

Luján’s campaign continues to pick up steam with a wide range of groups and Legislators coming out in support of his campaign. “I’m ecstatic to have received support from labor, women, the Latino Democratic Committee, and people who believe that Newburgh can and will be better. I stand by my commitments for Newburgh to improve our local economy, protect our environment and improve services to Newburgh.”

Luján’s endorsements also include: the Working Families Party, Hudson Valley Area Labor Federation, Town of Newburgh Democratic Committee, Orange County Democratic Women and Run for Something.
