Cornerstone Family Healthcare Welcomes Four New Providers

NEWBURGH – Cornerstone Family Healthcare proudly announces four new providers who have joined its rapidly expanding practice. These providers are great additions to a team that is dedicated to meeting the wellness needs of the community. Cornerstone welcomes Theresa Mastronardi, DO; Sovan Powell, MD; Theresa Colberg, MD; and Andrea Lopera, LMSW.

Theresa Mastronardi, DO has joined Cornerstone’s Family Medicine Department. Dr. Mastronardi received her Doctor of Osteopathy Degree from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine. After receiving her degree, Dr. Mastronardi completed her residency at South Nassau Communities Hospital. Dr. Mastronardi is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. As a family physician working with pediatric and adult patients, Dr. Mastronardi has a special interest in adolescent medicine and helping patients transition from childhood to adulthood. Her interests also include working with the LGBTQ community and those with intellectual and developmental delays and disorders. Dr. Mastronardi is seeing patients in Cornerstone’s pediatrics and internal medicine departments at the Kaplan Family Pavilion at 147 Lake Street in Newburgh.

Sovan Powell, MD has joined Cornerstone’s Internal Medicine Department. Dr. Powell received her Medical Degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University College of Medicine. After receiving her degree, Dr. Powell completed her residency at Stamford Hospital/Colombia University and St. Joseph’s Hospital. Dr. Powell is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Powell has a special interest in working with geriatric patients. She is seeing patients in Cornerstone’s internal medicine department at the Kaplan Family Pavilion at 147 Lake Street in Newburgh.

Theresa Colberg, MD has joined Cornerstone’s Behavioral Health Department as a Psychiatrist. Dr. Colberg received her Medical Degree from Temple Medical School. After receiving her degree, Dr. Colberg completed her residency at Mount Sinai-Beth Israel Medical Center. Dr. Colberg has over 10 years of experience in healthcare, including several years with the New York Air National Guard. Dr. Colberg is passionate about working with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, obsessive thoughts, and relationship difficulties, as well as treating a range of other issues including Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, body image/eating issues, insomnia, bipolar and psychotic disorders. Dr. Colberg is seeing patients in Cornerstone’s Behavioral Health Department at the Kaplan Family Pavilion at 147 Lake Street in Newburgh.

Andrea Lopera, LMSW has joined Cornerstone’s Behavioral Health Department as a Behavioral Health Counselor. Lopera received her Master of Arts in Social Work from New York University and her undergraduate degree from CUNY Lehman College. Lopera has a special interest in working on cases involving immigrant issues, individual and family therapy. Lopera is practicing at Cornerstone’s New Windsor office at 91 Blooming Grove Turnpike.
