NEWBURGH – MVP Health Care unveiled its newly renovated MVP Walk-In Enrollment Center in the Newburgh Mall last Wednesday.
In this new space, MVP Health Care staff can assist consumers who are shopping for health care coverage, have questions about existing plans answered or receive help if they are looking to enroll in the New York State of Health marketplace.
The center is part of MVP’s approach to make access to health care information easier by being more flexible and reaching out to people where they live, work and shop in their communities. MVP Executive Vice President for Medicaid and MVP Operations Cathy Clancy said this is their first, in terms of expansion plans, into the community.
“We are thinking about how to work within communities in a little different way, how we are going to engage with our providers, and the possibility of expanding the types of services that we offer in these types of sites,” Clancy said.
While each community is different, with different needs, therefore they will vary what they do with each site. Clancy notes that this is their first real attempt at meeting the community where they are. This idea fits well with the MVP mission and commitment to healthy communities, serving people of all income level and at all ages.
