Rollins Wants to Revive NAACP Chapter

MIDDLETOWN – The Middletown NAACP chapter, which was active for years, fizzled out and was revived again, is at this time defunct. One local civil rights leader said it is time to breathe new life into it.

James Rollins said especially in this time in the nation’s history, it is important that it become active again.

“As the former president of the Middletown NAACP, I am a life-long supporter and look forward to rallying and reorganizing the efforts needed so that we, in fact, have boots on the ground,” he said.

Rollins said given the social climate in the country today, it is extremely important to have an active organization.
