‘Journey To Achieving Our Dreams’ to be Held

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. – Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter will present its 2018 Jabberwock Cotillion: “Journey To Achieving Our Dreams” on April 29, 2018 at the Grandview located at 176 Rinaldi Blvd. in Poughkeepsie, New York. The formal event and dinner starts at 4pm.

For over 25 years, the sorority has introduced debutantes from local communities within the Mid-Hudson Valley region into society by way of the biennial Jabberwock Cotillion. This year we lift up debutantes from: Arlington High School, Beacon High School, Cornwall Central High School, Oakwood Friends School, Our Lady of Lourdes High School, Wallkill Senior High School, and Washingtonville High School. We are honored to present nine extraordinary debutantes and their escorts to the Mid-Hudson Valley society.

The Jabberwock Cotillion offers a series of workshops that aids debutantes in preparation as our future leaders. This year our debutantes participated in career building, college prep, mental and physical health, safety, mother-daughter tea, and a host of other self-awareness activities.

“The journey to womanhood has been paved with many exciting experiences for our debutantes and we trust this adventure will provide them with the tools to make a phenomenal impact in their communities,” says Linda Melton Mann, President of the Mid-Hudson Valley Alumnae Chapter. “Strong women will build a better society.”
