Visit Washington’s Headquarters on July 4th

NEWBURGH – Come to Washington’s Headquarters State Historic Site, in Newburgh, Wednesday, July 4th for our GRAND Celebration: A Family Fun Fourth!, 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Come Celebrate With Us! It’s a double birthday celebration – our Nation’s and Washington’s Headquarters’, the first publicly preserved historic site in the Nation since July 4, 1850.
Come Listen With Us! Experience The Empire Drumline through NECSD perform on the lawn of Washington’s Headquarters.

Come Play With Us! Take part in a variety of outdoor activities and crafts for children of all ages, and other surprises!

Take a guided tour of the historic Headquarters and explore the Museum, which houses the multi award-winning exhibit, Unpacked & Rediscovered: Selections from Washington’s Headquarters’ Collection. The exhibit features over 1,300 objects highlighting Washington’s Headquarters’ diverse collections and is navigated by an electronic catalog system.

Bring your blanket, picnic basket and binoculars and make some additional memories as you take in our glorious scenery – the majestic Hudson River with the breathtaking Hudson Highlands as a backdrop.
