65th Anniversary of the Korean War Cease-Fire

NEW WINDSOR – You are invited join to the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor at 2:00 p.m. on July 28th in commemorating the 65th Anniversary of the Korean War Cease-Fire.

Although it has been called “the Forgotten War” it will not be forgotten today. The program will begin with a wreath laying by the flag poles at the Hall of Honor and a tolling of a bell in memory of those lost. The wreath laying is outdoors and will take place rain or shine.

The program will continue indoors with a presentation about the Korean War and will conclude with reflective comments from a Korean War Veteran.

The National Purple Heart Hall of Honor and New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site are co-located at 374 Temple Hill Road (Route 300) in the town of New Windsor, three miles south of I-84 exit 7B and I-87 exit 17. Parking, gift shop, and picnic grounds are located on site. Gallery exhibits are open 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM Tuesday – Saturday and from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday.
