Over $1 Million in High Grade Marijuana Seized

MONTGOMERY – A vehicle and traffic stop on Route 208 in the Town of Montgomery led to the arrests of two men and the seizure of over 204 pounds of high-grade marijuana with a street value of over $1 million.

When State Police pulled over the vehicle driven by Anthony Donofrio, 69, of New Rochelle, they detected a strong odor of marijuana leading to a search. The drugs were found hidden in a large wooden container in the bed of the pickup truck.

Donofrio and his passenger, Danny Aguayo, 35, of Stamford, Connecticut were each charged with first-degree criminal possession of marijuana as a felony. Both are in the Orange County Jail in lieu of $50,000 cash bail or $100,000 bond each.
