POUGHKEEPSIE – Taraji P. Henson may be starring in the upcoming movie “What Men Want,” but Thursday, November 8th at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel it was all about what the ladies wanted with Townsquare Media’s annual event What Women Want. It was a ladies night out with a lot of giveaways, samplings, massages, games, a photo booth, holiday shopping, and lots of fun!

Upon entering What Women Want, ladies received Bud Bucks which they could use to play casino games or to buy raffle contest entries for prizes from vendors in the Regency Room.
Numerous vendors displayed their products. Giouvanna White aka Gigi, owner of Nervani Beauty Boutique in Montgomery, showcased her authentic product line of sugar and salt scrubs, lotions, body butters, cuticle oil, and nail polish.

“I use all natural products,” said Gigi, who also does nails, lashes, and microblading. “This is the first time I am here… It’s really nice to see all these women come together and support.”
Other vendors included Century 21, Exploria Resorts, Vitality Bowls, Jerkyhut, New Beginnings Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery, Renu Medispa, Touchstone Crystal by Swarovski, Ruby Ribbon, Momminia, Kiwanis of Southern Dutchess, and MINI of Dutchess County.
Women painted glasses with Created With Love Boutique.

“We created wineglass painting… They’re all different. We don’t show them what to do… We are inspire the inner creativity of all these different women,” said Antoinette Cesiro aka Toni, owner of the Created With Love Boutique which is located in Wappinger Falls.

Angela Langdon aka DJ Dolce kept the party going with songs like “Cha Cha Slide” and “Cupid Shuffle.”

“I love that there’s various vendors. There’s the food… there’s a massage, we have wine… It’s a pleasure to be here,” said DJ Dolce who deejayed her first What Women Want event, but is no stranger to deejaying at the Poughkeepsie Grand Hotel.
