Bergenn Receives MHV Chairman’s Award

KINGSTON – Lisa Bergenn has been awarded the Mid-Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union (MHV) Chairman’s Award for TALENT as announced by Gary Anderson, Chairman of the Board. Anderson maintains the value of the award is to encourage employees to go above and beyond, and acknowledge employees’ dedication and commitment to MHV.

TALENT is an acronym that represents the winning attributes of Top Performance, Availability, Leadership, Energy, New Vision and Teamwork.

The Chairman presented Lisa with the award at the February 27 Board meeting.

“MHV is very proud of its’ employees for their daily commitment to both internal and external member service,” says Anderson. “It’s important to let employees know just how much they contribute to the success of the credit union by awarding those who consistently make the extra effort to go above and beyond.”

Lisa began her career with MHV in 2011in the Personal Teller (PT) Department and was promoted to work with the Risk Department in 2014. In her current role as a Risk Management, Security/Fraud Specialist, Lisa is responsible for monitoring daily fraud alerts for fraudulent card transactions and checks, assisting with the security systems, and report filing.

Lisa gleaned a great deal of knowledge about MHV and the organization’s systems from her work in the PT Department, and capitalized on that to excel in the Risk Department. She thrives in seeking out knowledge to be successful within her role as well as expand her understanding and expertise in general. She is adept at researching and resolving the issues that are within her scope of work, and finding the resources and experts who can guide her when needed. A tireless champion of MHV, Lisa is diligent in ensuring its members’ information is secure. She advocates for her team, supporting her co-workers in any way she can, and has effectively evolved the processes for completing her responsibilities to become more efficient. Lisa recognizes the critical nature of the Risk Department’s work and readily goes above and beyond to maintain the department’s effectiveness. Lisa is also a member of MHV’s Community Relations Committee.

As Lisa’s manager, Jessica Fox, states, “Lisa is an exceptional employee. She is reliable and hard working. She puts her members and her team first and is always willing to lend a hand.”
Lisa graduated from Kingston High School and SUNY Ulster. She lives with her husband, Brandon, and their two sons in West Hurley. Lisa is a member of the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators (IAFCI).
