Chocolate Milk® Documentary Showing at Newburgh Library

NEWBURGH – On August 29, 2019, 5:30 PM, Newburgh Free Library, 124 Grand Street, will feature the documentary Chocolate Milk by Elizabeth Bayne. It examines how the socioeconomic factors of race and sex influence breastfeeding rates for black mothers in America.

In recognition of National Breastfeeding Month and Black Breastfeeding Week, MISN and the MidHudson Lactation Consortium invite community members to view this free screening, along with panelists Giovanna Rogow (Executive Director, MISN), Jocelyn Dummett, MD (Crystal Run Healthcare) and Ramona Burton (Youth Program Director, MISN), and then engage in meaningful discussion on how to empower young women to embrace and experience successful breastfeeding in our community.
