Dispute Resolution Center Celebrates Volunteers

NEWBURGH – The Dispute Resolution Center (DRC) celebrated and honored their Outstanding Volunteers at a Volunteer Recognition Luncheon event at Vesuvio’s Restaurant in Newburgh. The honorees were mediators Ingrid Beer, Peter D.G. Brown, Miriam Frankl, Marie Laura Hawthorne, Roy Kudzrycki, JoanneSaffer, Doug Scherma, Daniel McCormack; and CASA volunteers Vincent Crescenzo, Pamela DeMan and Sandra Tarallo. Attendees included Orange County Family Court Judges, the Honorable Carol S. Klein; and the Honorable Victoria B. Campbell. Also present were Officers from DRC’s Board of Directors; Fran Melder, President; and Rob Unger, Treasurer.

DRC is seeking community-minded individuals with a desire to give back to their community for several hours a month as volunteer mediators. Training is sponsored and free; the next Basic Mediation Training will be held January 27th to 31st, 2020.
