New Drive-Thru Holiday Light Attraction in O.C.

MIDDLETOWN – The Holiday Light Spectacular at the Orange County Fairgrounds is the socially-distant answer for Holiday fun! Wind your way through the spectacularly lit fairgrounds, enjoy our multi-media light show in the covered arena or order delicious treats from our vendors, all from the comfort of your car!

The Holiday Light Spectacular begins November 27th, running Thursdays-Sundays until December 17th. From the 17th to January 3rd, the show opens daily. Gates will open at 5:00 pm and the last car is admitted at 10pm.

“We have put together a spectacular Holiday Show for everyone to enjoy during these difficult times”, said Mary Weber, event coordinator. “We wanted to bring some true Holiday spirit to families in the Hudson Valley and beyond and we were able to come up with a concept that has something for everyone, all done in a safe, socially distanced environment.”

Guests will feel the spirit of the holiday season as they are immersed in thousands of lights and festive scenes placed throughout the fairgrounds. There are unique light displays and even specially designed animation segments along the way. Near the end of the drive thru, guests pull into the covered arena for a spectacular multi-media light show accompanied by popular holiday songs; the whole family should feel free to sing along!

The Holiday Light Spectacular will also feature some unique holiday treats such as hot chocolate, eggnog, cider, cookies, Holiday colored cotton candy, candied nuts, Zeppoles, funnel cakes, or even purchase a take-home gingerbread house decorating kit to continue the holiday fun at home.

“We worked with our vendors to provide some really creative holiday foods that will be available drive-thru style on the grounds”, said Weber. “I can’t wait to taste the peppermint hot chocolate and eggnog.”
