City of Beacon Fills Two of their Top Positions

BEACON – By two unanimous votes, the Beacon City Council Monday night confirmed Chris White as city administrator and Sands Frost as provisional police chief.

White, who served as a Beacon councilman in the 1990s, has an impressive resume of government service, said Mayor Lee Kyriacou.

“He has worked for almost a decade as the deputy director of planning in Ulster County under County Executive Mike Hein and now, County Executive Ryan. Previously, he was the district director for Congressman Maurice Hinchey, who was Mr. Environment for the Hudson Valley, and long remembered,” said the mayor.

Frost most recently served as acting police chief when the former chief retired.
