Rondout Savings Bank Promotes Karen Burchell

KINGSTON – Karen joined Rondout Savings Bank in 2001 as one of three founding members of the Business Banking department. A lifelong resident of Ulster County, she has a deep understanding of the local community and its surroundings, which enables her to provide trusted guidance to our clients. “Throughout the years, Karen has held various leadership positions and has helped drive the overwhelming success of growing our commercial loans while making sound loan decisions. Karen is a vital member to our team, and her promotion to Senior Vice President, Director of Commercial Credit is well deserved,” states Cheryl Bowers, President and CEO.

Karen values community service and volunteerism. She sits on the Board of Directors of the Mental Health Association of Ulster County, Inc. and serves on its finance committee. Karen is an active volunteer for the American Heart Association’s Ulster/Dutchess division, Kingston Catholic School, as well as a past Trustee at the Rosendale Library.

Karen holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Union College and is a member of the American Bankers Association’s Stonier Graduate School of Banking 2021 graduating class. She resides in the hamlet of Rosendale with her husband and son.
