NEWBURGH – It is not the first time the media has felt the “hate” from those who have different thoughts, ideas or opinions. Nor is it the first time vandals have expressed their views with violence.
This time it was expressed with the breaking of the glass storefront that houses our publication. Not the first time we have been the victim of hate.
Some might ask the question “Why”? We could speculate. We could try to rationalize the why. But at the end, there would only be more questions than answers.
While the police investigate, others speculate, we will continue to articulate – our thoughts, ideas and opinions, just as we always have.
While hate may live here, we continue to stand up to it, call it out, and report on the issues that our readers come to expect from us, because hate has no place anywhere!
