Ulster Savings Bank Promotes Jose Lemus

KINGSTON – Ulster Savings Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Jose Eduardo Lemus to Community Mortgage Specialist.

In his new role, Mr. Lemus will be working directly with clients as well as building relationships with local housing groups, non-profits, and community organizations throughout the Hudson Valley. He will facilitate seminars with these groups to educate their staff and clients on the risks and benefits of various homeownership loan alternatives.

A Kingston resident and an employee of the bank since 2011, Jose previously served as branch manager of their Wall Street, Kingston location. He studied Business Administration at SUNY Ulster and is a graduate of the Ulster Leadership Development Institute, a leadership skill development program provided by the Ulster County Regional Chamber of Commerce.

He is an Accredited Banking Professional and received the Ulster County Hispanic Heritage Award in 2019. Jose is active in the community, serving as a volunteer coach for the KASL (Kingston Association Soccer League) boys soccer Team Thunder, as well as the co-founder of KThunder, Inc.—an educational program that helps young soccer athletes achieve college opportunities. He sits on the Board of Directors of Radio Kingston and serves as Treasurer.
