WEST POINT – The Army West Point football team held its final scrimmage on Saturday afternoon at Michie Stadium as the Black Knights get ready for the season opener.
The Black Knights open the season at Georgia State at 12 p.m. this Saturday on ESPNU.
Scrimmage Notes
The scrimmage featured to offense and defense facing the scout team throughout the day.
The second half of the scrimmage was mostly situational and work with special teams.
Tyhier Tyler capped off the first drive of the day with a long touchdown run to start the scrimmage.
Christian Anderson also led a touchdown drive against the scout team.
He found Brandon Walters in the corner of the end zone for the six points.
Jemel Jones also scored a touchdown with a run down the sideline.
The scout team did find the end zone with Will Montesi catching a touchdown pass from Gary Phillips.
