Collins Qualifies For ECAC Championships

BOSTON, MA – Graduate student Hayley Collins earned an ECAC Championships qualifying mark in the 5,000-meter run, leading the Marist women’s track team at its first indoor track meet in nearly two years on Saturday at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University’s Track and Tennis Center. Collins placed 49th in the race, bettering the ECAC standard by more than 20 seconds with a time of 17:08.08.

In the 3,000-meter run, freshman Hannah Belleville notched a personal-best time in her collegiate track debut, placing 37th in 10:16.72.

Top-10 finishes were notched by Natalie Tidler (400-meter dash), Juliana Fame (800-meter run) and Kiana Pathirana (triple jump).

The track team will resume its indoor track season in mid-January.
