New York State MLK Inter-Agency Food Drive

POUGHKEEPSIE – The New York State Police in Troop K will once again be hosting a Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. food donation drive, this year to benefit Dutchess Outreach in Poughkeepsie.

Dutchess Outreach has operated emergency food access and relief programs in Dutchess County for more than 46 years. In Dutchess County, 26,130 individuals suffer from Food Insecurity or around 8.8% of the population. Dutchess Outreach acts as an advocate and provider of hunger and relief programs in order to ensure that everyone, regardless of income, has access to fresh, healthy food, and the support they need.

If you would like to donate, Troop K will be accepting new and unopened food or financial contributions in the form of grocery store gift cards (please no cash or checks), between January 31, 2022, and February 11, 2022, at Troop K Headquarters, 2541 Route 44, Salt Point, NY, 12578. Items can also be donated at any Troop K installation that is most convenient to donors.
