Kids Hold a Star Studded Event in Saugerties

SAUGERTIES – A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away, Grade 2 students at Riccardi Elementary School kicked off a star-studded, catwalk extravaganza. After a year of being on hiatus due to COVID-19, Riccardi held its popular Planet Runway event. This project, a mixture of vibrantly vogue ensembles presented against a backdrop of out-of-this-world music, was the culmination of everything the students have learned about the planets in our solar system. Students shared factoids about asteroids, as well as other wonderful details about the planets, like which is the biggest, coldest, and stormiest. They also made planetary jokes such as, what kind of music do planets like to sing along to? Neptunes!!!
