Monthly Giving Day in Time for Easter/Passover

NEWBURGH – On Friday, April 15 the monthly Giving Day once again took place at the City of Newburgh’s Armory Unity Center. Held on the third Friday of every month from 8am-12pm, the well-attended event offers a wide assortment of food, beverages, household products, clothing and many other critical items. This month, several special features appeared. Clients were treated to two packs of garden seeds to help get the spring season off on the right foot. Additionally, donated wedding gowns, evening wear, and military uniforms as well as 400 pounds of vitamins were provided. The next Giving Day will take place on Friday, May 20, 2022. All are welcome to attend, and volunteers are always in need.

Philanthropist Bill Kaplan stopped by Friday’s monthly Giving Day event, held each third Friday at the City of Newburgh’s Armory Unity Center. Walking around and thanking volunteers while interacting with the many clients attending the critically important event, which offers food and beverage items as well as an assortment of clothing and household products among other essentials, Kaplan expressed his deep appreciation for the well-attended and smoothly run event which has been assisting area residents for many, many years.
