ALBANY – Mrs. Michell Wright Jumpp, who was recently named the 2021 NYLA School Librarian of the Year, received yet another honor when she was presented with Senator Sean Ryan’s Award for Outstanding Librarian – for the Mid-Hudson Region this past weekend in Albany.
During National Library Week, which began on Sunday, April 3, Senator Ryan recognized outstanding librarians who go above and beyond to serve their communities. One librarian was selected from each of the 10 regions of New York State. Each honoree received a special recognition and a framed New York State Senate Proclamation.
