Jazz Festival Expands Into Ulster and Westchester

August 18-21 is the 13th season for The Hudson Valley Jazz Festival.

And this year the series expands into Ulster County and upper Westchester. You’ll see a blend of well known artists and the region’s deep resource of local talent.

The Bearsville Theatre in Woodstock presenting Stanley Jordan and The Village of Warwick features Oz Noy. Both shows on Saturday August 20 at 7:30 PM. One in Ulster County, the other in Orange County.

Other concerts as of this date include On The Lawn in Sugar Loaf featuring The Hudson Valley Jazz Ensemble, Unison Arts in New Paltz brings pianists Rave Tesar and Neil Alexander on separate nights, UpFront Gallery in Port Jervis highlights The Rick Savage Group. Front Street Tavern in Kingston welcomes Teri Roiger with John Menegon and Matt Garrity and Gus Mancini & the Sonic Soul Orkestra, and Steve Raleigh Band.

There are three local venues new to the festival: The Village of Greenwood Lake has Slide Attack at Thomas Morahan Park at the Lake, The Albert Wisner Library, Warwick, Bill Ware, and Kaya Nicole performing at Mary Ann’s in Port Chester.

There will be two featured concerts presented by The Cove in Greenwood Lake (artists to be announced), and a special Hudson Valley Jazz Festival production with Joe Vincent Tranchina, Eric Person, Robert Kopec and others.

Festival schedule is still developing.
