Ocean State Job Lot Purchases ShopRite Building

NEWBURGH – Ocean State Job Lot (OSJL), the region’s premier discount retail chain with 148 stores across the Northeast, recently purchased the shopping center at 88 North Plank Road in Newburgh, from The Livianos Group, LLC. It will be the chain’s 16th store in New York and its first in Orange County.

OSJL purchased the 55,296-square-foot shopping center, which includes several small tenants.

OSJL will open its new 41,676-square foot store this fall in the former ShopRite grocery store space which has been vacant since 2021 OSJL will offer customers a big, bright shopping experience, restoring vibrancy to this previously vacant retail location and creating new jobs in the community.

OSJL will be hiring for approximately 50 positions, including store leadership, supervisory, full-time, and part-time positions.
