Marist Red Foxes Drop Non-Conference Game

POUGHKEEPSIE – The Marist men’s basketball team fell to Binghamton 78-75 on Saturday night at McCann Arena.

The Red Foxes move to 1-1 on the season, while Binghamton is now 2-0.

Neither team led by more than three in the first 14 minutes.

Binghamton took a 37-30 lead at halftime as Marist did not make a field goal in the final 2:34. Patrick Gardner led the Red Foxes in the first half, scoring 13 out of their 30 points.

Back-to-back threes from Noah Harris and Javon Cooley to start the second half forced Binghamton to call for time just 59 seconds in, as the Red Foxes cut their deficit to one.

Stephane Ingo had two blocked shots in this time.

Binghamton’s lead reached a game high of 15 on a three-pointer by Jacob Falko with 8:52 to play.

The Red Foxes hit three field goals in a row, capped off by a Kam Farris layup to cut the deficit to five with two minutes remaining.

Noah Harris hit two three-pointers in the final 10 seconds to cut the final deficit to three.
