Bard Raptors Downed by 18th-ranked RPI

TROY – The Bard College men’s basketball team lost to Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, 82-44, in a Liberty League game on Saturday afternoon.

Greg Farrow led Bard in scoring with 11 points, and he added four rebounds and two steals.

Heston Tucker had 10 points on five-for-five shooting from the field and finished with three rebounds. Azriel Almodovar contributed six points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.

“We are fortunate to get to play a team like RPI so early in the league schedule,” Bard coach Michael Lenahan said, “because they expose so much and make you pay for every mistake – we can learn a lot from that.

“We hope to get healthy over break and attack the second portion of the schedule.”

Bard will play its last two non-league games of the season next. The Raptors will be at Curry College on Dec. 30, and host SUNY Delhi on Jan. 2, before heading to North Country for St. Lawrence and Clarkson on Jan. 5-6.
