New Rochelle All Set for “Taste of Union Avenue”

NEW ROCHELLE – The City of New Rochelle, in collaboration with the Hispanic American Advisory Committee, is pleased to present the second annual “Taste of Union Avenue” event. This vibrant celebration of New Rochelle’s diverse Latin American community takes place on July 22, 2023 from 12-6PM on Union Avenue between First and Fourth Streets.

The “Taste of Union Avenue” offers a unique opportunity for residents and visitors of all backgrounds to experience the rich flavors and diverse cuisines of Latin America, while embracing the community spirit that defines New Rochelle. This year’s event promises a fresh energy from the community partners, featuring an array of new flavors, worldly crafts, and memorable experiences for all. Guests to Union Avenue will enjoy samples from more than 40 Hispanic/Latino-owned local business owners, live music and exhibitions from local artists, plus exciting games and programs geared for all ages.

Highlights of the event to include:
• Live musical performances featuring Banda Norteña, Mariachi + Salsa, Cumbia, Merengue, Bachata and Pop Latino.- plus DJ Fuego
• Family-friendly activities, from children’s games to arts and crafts for seniors, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and participate in throughout the day.
• Free roller-skating: Experience the thrill of roller skating on the open-access roller skating rink! Whether you’re a seasoned skater or a beginner, the rink will provide a fun and energetic atmosphere for individuals and families alike.

Free parking is available at the upper level of the New Rochelle Transit Center, and the Circuit will shuttle attendees to the event.
