Bard Finishes 9th at the Fred Pavlich Invitational

ANNANDALE-ON-HUDSON – The Bard College women’s cross-country team placed ninth out of 15 teams in the Fred Pavlich Invitational on a rainy Saturday at Bard’s Montgomery Place.

Bard was led by sophomore Sadie Torre who smashed her personal best in the 6K with a time of 27:52.5. First-years Amaya Zebe-Herera, Odille Zexter-Kaiser and Violet DiBiasio had their first 6K performances at Montgomerry Place. Zexter-Kaiser improved her personal best by over o minute, while DiBiasio improved her personal best by over four minutes.

Sophomore Chloe Desautels also had a great performance and shaved off two minutes her prior best time at the distance.

Vassar won the event, followed by Middlebury and Amherst, in an event that featured several of the top teams in the region.

Bard will travel to Amherst for the Hampshire Founding Tree Invitational on Saturday at 10 am.
