POUGHKEEPSIE – Dates for the four Superintendent Fireside Chats have been released for the 2023-24 school year.
Established in 2019 by Superintendent Dr. Eric Jay Rosser, the chats are intended to engage members of the community in a two-way dialogue on topics including, but not limited to, the district’s improvement strategy, recommendations from community stakeholders on how school and community stakeholders can collaborate to increase the academic, social, emotional, and wellness success of PCSD students and the district’s annual budget.
The Superintendent Fireside Chats were developed as a strategy to engage the community in conversation with Poughkeepsie City School District leadership.
“Fireside Chats provide a powerful opportunity for school, home, and community to come together to address the needs of Poughkeepsie City School District Children. There have been many ideas shared by parents and community members that were discussed at these meetings that are now in place. The Chats provide a great opportunity for parents and the community to elevate the needs of our children,” Rosser said.
