Mount Volleyball Drops Two On The Road

DANBURY, CT – The Mount Saint Mary College Knights faced off in two matches while on the road at Western Connecticut State College.

Match 1: Mount St. Mary vs. UMass Boston (0-3)
In their first match against UMass Boston, the Knights displayed great effort but ultimately fell short. The final scores for each set were 18-25, 22-25, and 19-25, with UMass Boston claiming a 3-0 victory.

Notable Performers:
– Jonaiya Williams led Knights with 8 kills and 3 aces.
– Allie Kenney had 11 assists.
– Vanessa Mleczko and Erin Lema combined for 28 defensive digs.

Despite the loss, the Knights were in it each set, and fought all the way to the end.

Match 2: Mount St. Mary vs. WestConn (0-3)
The Knights’ second match of the day saw them facing Western Connecticut State College. While they continued to put forth a strong effort, they were unable to secure a win. The final scores were 16-25, 8-25, and 19-25, resulting in a 3-0 victory for Western Connecticut State.

Notable Performers:
– Jonaiya Williams led the Knights with 9 kills and 6 digs.
– Erin Lema showed her determination with 10 digs.

The Mount Saint Mary College Knights may have faced tough competition in these two matches, but their dedication and teamwork were evident throughout.
