Blue Knights Fall in Final Regular Season Matchup

BRONXVILLE – Knights Volleyball played a tough match against Sarah Lawrence this afternoon, ultimately falling to the Gryphons in a 1-3 score after fighting through four sets.

After a tough 17-25 loss in the first set, the Knights kept Sarah Lawrence at bay during the second set, with a 25-23 score. In the end, they weren’t able to catch the Gryphons in the third and fourth sets.

Still, there was a well-rounded effort from the Knights across the board this match. They held their own in kills, totaling 38 over the Gryphons’ 35. Team leaders in kills were Jonaiya Williams (18), Erin Lema (6) and Mary Milano (5).

Aubriana Boyce also played a key role today, racking up 32 assists for the Knights. Vanessa Mleczko led the way defensively with 16 digs, followed by Williams who had 12 and Boyce with 11.

“We struggled in some key areas of the game today, and credit to Sarah Lawrence for being able to take advantage of it,” said head coach Mike Strano.
