DALLAS, PA – The Mount Saint Mary College Knights faced a challenging season opener against Misericordia University, resulting in a 112-59 loss. Despite the tough start, Coach Ryan Kadlubowski remains optimistic, stating, “Obviously, it was a tough night against a very good veteran squad. We learned a lot about what we need to improve upon and will get better from this experience.”

The Knights struggled to contain Misericordia’s offensive attack, with the home team securing a substantial lead early on. However, there were notable performances from the Knights, particularly Jayden Figueroa, who led the team with 11 points.

The statistics reflect a resilient effort from Mount Saint Mary College, with a second-half shooting percentage of 31.03%, showcasing their ability to make half time adjustments. Dylan Csik contributed 9 points, and Ryan Graham added 8 points, showcasing the team’s depth.

Despite the loss, the Knights gained valuable insights into areas that require improvement. The upcoming exhibition game against Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT, provides an opportunity for the team to implement these lessons and showcase their growth.

While the season opener may not have ended in the Knights’ favor, the experience gained bodes well for the rest of the season. The Knights are ready to bounce back and make a statement in the upcoming games.
