High School Students Attend HBCU College Fair

By Ada Freeman

Fifty-seven students from all three high school campuses traveled to Denny Farrell Riverbank State Park in Manhattan, NY to participate in the 25th Annual Malcolm Bernard HBCU College Fair!

The goal of the trip was to inspire college and career readiness through college exploration.

The trip was intended to expose scholars to the advantages and opportunities afforded at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and to give NFA seniors the opportunity to take advantage of HBCU instant admission opportunities not available through any other means in the Hudson Valley.

During the event, five seniors from NFA Main, North, and West campuses were conditionally accepted to Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Those schools are: Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, NC; Virginia State University in Petersburg, VA; and Paine College in Augusta, GA. Congratulations to the scholars on this tremendous achievement.
