FARMINGDALE – The Mount Saint Mary College Knights (14-6, 13-2 Skyline) showcased their depth and resilience in a dominant 87-50 victory over the Farmingdale State College Rams (9-11, 7-8 Skyline) this afternoon on the road.
Despite a short bench, the Knights demonstrated Coach Marion Dietz’s words, with every player seeing action and contributing to the win. Brianna Guglielmo led the offensive charge with a game-high 22 points, shooting 7-for-11 from the field and a near-perfect 7-for-9 from the free throw line. Angelina Donato added 14 points off the bench, while Shannon Phelan chipped in 15 points.
The Knights started strong, building a 16-10 lead after the first quarter. They extended their advantage in the second, outscoring the Rams 29-13 to take a commanding 45-23 lead into halftime. The dominance continued in the second half, with the Knights maintaining control and cruising to a comfortable victory.
“We had a short bench today, but our underclassmen stepped up once again,” said Coach Dietz after the game. “Every player in uniform scored and contributed to today’s win. This is a great team win, and we’re looking forward to building on this momentum as we continue our season.”
