NEWBURGH – The Mount Saint Mary College Knights (5-16, 3-9 Skyline) fell just one point short to the Sarah Lawrence College Gryphons (10-11, 7-5 Skyline) in a close game on Saturday.
Despite a valiant effort, the Knights were unable to overcome a late deficit, falling 75-74.
The game was close throughout, with neither team leading by more than 9 points at any point.
The Knights were led in scoring by Connor Cyran with 21 points. Ryan Graham added 18 points, and Brenden Graham chipped in with 12 points.
As a team, the Knights shot 26 for 50 from the field (52.0%) and 6 for 17 from three-point range (35.3%). They also made 16 of their 20 free throws (80.0%).
The Knights will look to bounce back from this loss when they travel to take on Farmingdale College on February 7th at 7:00 PM.
