Brad James and Regina King Highlight History

In just a few years, Brad James has transformed from a US Marine to a dynamic force in television and film. Widely celebrated for his comedic brilliance as Todd in Tyler Perry’s “For Better Or Worse,” Brad adds another layer to his already impressive repertoire alongside Regina King as Black Panther co-founder Huey Newton in the eagerly awaited biopic, “SHIRLEY” premiering on Netflix on March 22nd.

The film follows Shirley Chisholm and her historic trailblazing run for the 1972 Democratic presidential nomination after becoming the first Black woman elected to Congress.

In 2021, Brad married actress Keshia Knight Pulliam, whom he met on the set of “Pride and Prejudice: Atlanta” in 2019. The couple welcomed a son in April 2023, adding to Brad’s role as a stepfather to Ella Knight.
