VIRGINIA BEACH, VA – Vassar College Women’s Track and Field first year Haley Schoenegge and sophomore Jahmilia Dennis each earned United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Second Team All-American honors on Saturday at the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships.

This season is the first that the USTFCCCA has expanded All-American status to finishers 9-16 in all events at the NCAA Indoor Championships.

Schoenegge finished ninth overall in the 1 Mile Run to take home Second Team All-American honors as she crossed the finish line in 4:58.96. Dennis continued her incredible sophomore season in the triple jump as she posted a career-best and school record mark of 11.82 meters to finish 10th overall and take home Second Team All-American honors.

Both student-athletes are the first to earn All-American status in women’s track and field since Heather Ingraham in 2015.

Vassar will begin the outdoor track and field season this weekend at Army West Point.
