Spectrum Announced $2,500 Food Bank Donation

CORNWALL – Spectrum announced a donation of $2,500 to the Regional Food Bank Hudson Valley through the company’s national community philanthropic program, Spectrum Employee Community Grants.

The funding supports the Food Bank Hudson Valley’s food assistance programs to charitable agencies serving hungry and disadvantaged people, including food pantries, soup kitchens, emergency shelters, youth and senior programs, and programs for the disabled.

“Our mission at the Regional Food Bank is to feed our neighbors and provide them with healthy, nutritious, and culturally relevant food,” said Jessica Hansen, Chief Advancement Officer, Regional Food Bank. “With Spectrum’s generous grant of $2,500, we can provide nearly 12,000 meals to our neighbors in need. We’re grateful to Spectrum employee Jonathan Williams for nominating us to receive this grant and for the hours of dedication he provides volunteering for the Food Bank.”

“Through Spectrum Employee Community Grants, we’re proud to provide support to vital community organizations with which our local employees are already volunteering their time and talent,” said Michael Liccione, Area Vice President of Field Operations for Charter Communications. “Together, we’re building stronger communities where our customers and employees live and work across America.”

Spectrum Employee Community Grants has provided funding to more than 430 local nonprofits in 33 states throughout the company’s service area since its inception in July 2019.

Recipients deliver critical social services, helping underserved residents meet basic needs, including food, shelter, clothing, job training and neighborhood safety. Each awardee is nominated by one of the company’s more than 101,000 U.S. employees who has volunteered with the organization for at least one year.
