Mt. Gulian Historic Site Hosts Ornament Workshop

BEACON – On Saturday, November 16, at Beacon’s Mount Gulian Historic Site, the first annual Gnome Ornament Workshop was held.

Led by Beacon- based artist, Shirley Botsford, who provided instructions as well as examples of the end result, along with the first and subsequent steps involved in the fun- creative process, the approximately 25 guests had the unique opportunity to make their own holiday ornament with a variety of provided materials.

The holiday events continue at Mount Gulian with Holiday Tours, laden with fresh greens, sparkling lights and an array of twinkling ornaments, which are slated for December 8, 11-15, and 18-21 at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

Later on in the month, on December 27, from 12-2pm, the popular, annual Children’s Holiday Tea returns. Coupling fun and good manners, surrounded by an authentic setting where social teas were once the norm, the Tea event, also features tea sandwiches and is for both children and adults.
