CAMBRIDGE, MA – The Vassar College Women’s Tennis team was back in action on Saturday after it was dealt a 6-1 non-conference defeat at #11 MIT. Iris Li picked up the team’s lone win at second singles.
Saturday’s loss drops Vassar to 1-1 on the season, while MIT improves to 2-0.
Doubles
The second doubles pair of Macey Dowd and Sofie Shen suffered a tight 7-5 defeat.
At third doubles, Ananya Krishnan and Elyse Duley were edged 6-4.
Singles
Li won for the second times in as many outings to start the spring with an impressive 6-2, 6-1 win at the second position.
At the top spot, Erin McCusker battled in a tight 6-7 (3-7), 2-6 defeat.
Vassar will next travel to Williams on March 1.
