Vassar Tennis Suffers Loss To Trinity (CT)

ORLANDO, FL – The Vassar College Men’s Tennis team was topped by Trinity (CT) Tuesday morning in Orlando, FL by a score of 5-2. Junior Fernando Bauermeister scored a victory for the Brewers at the first singles position.

Tuesday defeat drops Vassar to 3-5 overall on the season, while the Bantams even their record at 2-2.

Doubles
Trinity secured the doubles point on Tuesday with wins at the first and third positions.
Vassar’s second pair of Miles Sondergaard Jensen and Joseph Braun were victorious, defeating their opponents by a score of 6-2.

Eugene Lee and Arnav Agostinho competed at the third position and were topped in a tight 7-5 decision.

Singles
Bauermeister earned his fourth win of the spring against the Bantams, scoring a 6-4, 7-5 victory for the Brewers.

James Balon also found the win column on Tuesday, in a 5-7, 5-4, retired decision.

Lee battled at the second slot in a 6-7 (2-7), 1-6 decision.

Vassar concludes its stay in Florida on Wednesday when it takes on Hamilton.

Trinity will face Springfield Wednesday afternoon.
