Jenkins Kicks Off Holidays on the Hill Train Show

KATONAH – Experience the magic of Lasdon Public Gardens and Veterans Memorial’s Holidays on the Hill Train Show, which began Saturday, November 29 and is open select dates through Wednesday, December 31. Tickets are on sale now.

This year’s train show features an all new, multi-level display featuring G-scale trains throughout 2,500 square feet in the Lasdon Conservatory. The entire display has been reimagined to give visitors a more immersive holiday experience.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins said, “Families and friends cherish the Holidays on the Hill Train Show because it brings tradition and joy to life. This year, for the first time ever, the show features a multi-level track for families and children of all ages to enjoy. It is our hope that the Train Show will bring moments of warmth and laughter, allowing people to celebrate the love and unity of the holidays in a meaningful way.”

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathleen O’Connor said, “This tradition at Lasdon Public Gardens is a favorite in Westchester County. The Glass House Conservatory is a beautiful backdrop for the train show, and adds an element of nature that is synonymous with the facility that people of all ages can enjoy.”

In addition to the train show, visitors will be immersed in holiday decorations on the Conservatory Plaza and children can participate in a fun scavenger hunt to find elves hiding throughout.

Santa will eagerly hear children’s holiday wishes in his cottage on Conservatory Plaza during scheduled dates and times. Food will be available for purchase from George’s Wood Fire Pizza and Jimmy’s Soft Serve Ice Cream.

The exhibit is co-produced by Westchester County Parks and the Friends of Lasdon Public Gardens and Veterans Memorial.
