Colts Fall to Dutchess Community College

POUGHKEEPSIE – The SUNY Orange softball team fell to Dutchess in a doubleheader on Tuesday, April 21.

Game One – SUNY Orange (0) – Dutchess (3)
Dutchess wasted no time getting on the board, scoring a run in the first inning and adding two more in the second to take an early 3-0 lead.

SUNY Orange recorded six hits in the contest and consistently put runners on base, but was unable to capitalize in key moments.

Bridget O’Leary faced 31 batters, allowing three earned runs and striking out six.

Game Two – SUNY Orange (0) – Dutchess (7)
Dutchess came out with energy taking the lead in the first inning scoring one run. The Falcons extended their lead in the fourth inning, driving in five more runs to bring the score to 6-0, then added another run in the fifth.

The Colts could not respond, as the Falcons secured the 7-0 victory.

Pitching for the Colts was Taylor Horaz , facing 35 batters, allowing four earned runs and striking out two batters.
